New Minimum Wage – Farm and Forestry Sector – Effective 1 March
According to Government Gazette No 34648, the minimum wage for workers in the farm and forestry sector will be adjusted with effect from 1 March, 2017. The increase is the available CPI (currently 7%) +1% = 8%.

In terms of the Sectoral Determination for farmworkers, the new minimum wage will be as follows:
Annual leave for Domestic Workers
Sectoral Determination 7 applies to all domestic workers (except those working on farms) and requires that Domestic workers get a minimum of 21 days leave per year. This is inclusive of weekends.
