All employers wishing to receive grants from AgriSETA for training completed during the 2012/13 financial year have to submit their Annual Training Reports and Workplace Skills Plan for the 2013/14 financial year to AgriSETA by 30 June 2013.
Once the reports and the proof of training are accepted, AgriSETA will refund 20% of all skills development levies paid by the Employer during the previous year to the Employer as a mandatory grant for future training, as well as various discretionary grants for scarce skills. In addition thereto AgriSETA offers numerous learnerships, where AgriSETA will pay for the training expenses associated with the training of an employee, which for obvious reasons also improves the implementation of the Employer’s Employment Equity Plan. In order to be fully compliant it is therefore recommended that Employers complete the necessary Annual Training Reports and Workplace Skills Plans, as well as the Employment Equity Reports, as that will also improve the B-BBEE rating accorded the employer.
